How hard will it be for both teams to play later tonight? With so much emotion and leaving everything you have on the floor this morning. I think it has to be tough on the kids.

If Holmes (9th Region) plays Mason County tonight....does that bring back any memories of something?

 

IMO, there would be more irony if Holmes played Shelby.

If Holmes plays Shelby County, it is a rematch of the 81 final - which Holmes lost after leading by 2 with 2 seconds to go, and an overtime that included the worst missed call in Sweet Sixteen history. Oh yeah, and Shelby County has Norris Beckley Jr. on its roster - his dad started on the 78 team!

I actually don't think it will be as tough for Holmes. They actually have the depth to do it.

 

Also they benefit from playing the early game. Mason or Shelby will have to play, go get something to eat, rest for an hour, and be right back out where as Holmes will have had a few more hours to rest.
