I think they get impatient. :D

I'm going as fast as I can though.

Holmes must not be able to shoot today. 21 points is horrible for 1st half production. They better turn up the heat in the 2nd half and get some turnovers.

They arent a good jump shooting team outside of Riley.

That is why they need to increase the defensive pressure and run Paintsville out of the gym. A great gameplan is to lull Holmes into a half court game and zone them to death. If you can shut down the penetration and defend the short corners you should win.

From Ryan's Blog...

At the half ...

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Paintsville leads Holmes 24-21 at the half. The Tigers scored six straight down the stretch, including a Shane Grimm layup at the buzzer that whipped the crowd into a frenzy.

Elijah Pittman leads Holmes with 13 points. Landon Slone, whom the Bulldogs now are guarding with Ricardo Johnson, has just two points.

I'm just wondering how this second half will unfold, considering Paintsville is playing man-to-man defense with a six-player rotation. The Bulldogs' depth might play a big factor down the stretch.

Some stats:

Paintsville is shooting 48 percecnt from the field; Holmes is 33 percent. ... Holmes is outrebounding Paintsville 14-12. ... Four turnovers for each team.

Holmes usually wins games in the second half. They've been down before and came back from much bigger deficits so they should be fine. Paintsville has to get tired eventually. Also Slone has 2 fouls. Holmes needs to attack more and try to get him out of the game. P'ville has no depth what so ever.
