Mine is between my shoulder blades, had it for almost five years and don't regret it at all. Of course thats an area that doesnt tend to sag....But I got mine done in Dyersburg, TN at flaming art tattoo

Just an opinion and I really think to each his own on this one:thumb: but..........why anyone would want to permantley scar their bodies is just beyond me.

 

Just ironic that I happened to have recieved in a "joke" e-mail this morning but it applies to this............"Just a thought but do you realize that one day we will have thousands of old men and old ladies walking around with tatoo's?

Think about this, those tatoo's will "drop" in places were they weren't originally placed or meant to be......:sssh:

They say the business of removing tatoo's is booming. The tatoo generation is now reaching thier 30's and are realizing they made a mistake.

You don't think that's a little harsh? Don't get me wrong, my parents cut me off anyways (for the most part, few and far between emergencies excluded) to assist in my building of independence, but you'd do it over a tattoo? Getting convicted for a crime or spending it all on booze and I understand the punishment, but self-expression, as stupid as it may seem, is really worth getting that worked up over? Wait, you'd be saving money, so yeah, I guess so . In fact, I think I'm going to use that tactic when I'm a parent... even though I don't really agree with it.

 

Don't get me wrong... I see far too many people out there just getting something because they think it looks cool or because they're a little too drunk and the parlor is a little too close, but I'd say a hefty percentage of us won't regret our tattoos.

 

Those likely to regret getting them usually:

As I mentioned, were drunk.

Got a lovers name which eventually became an ex.

Picked something random because they wanted to seem cool.

Did it because their friends were getting them.

Had it done on an esposed body part which prevented certain judgemental employers from hiring them.

 

For myself, I had a custom design created that I had been wanting for a few years (so I had plenty of time to think about it), and the only time it's visible is when my shirt is off. No regrets on my part. Be smart about it and most importantly actually CARE about what you want and there shouldn't be an issue.

Exactly, by the time your old and grey, your "Northern Kentucky" could be drooping to your "Fort Campbell".

When I was young, I wanted one on my ankle...like a bracelet of a dreamcatcher. After I met PH, I am really glad that I did not do this...he thinks like you do!

I can say without a doubt my husband would never have gone out with me if I'd had a tattoo.
