UK is still in I believe. Maybe a 10-12 seed, but they are in for sure.

Ouch. That's back in to the danger zone...

You appear to be a UC fan. Would a 18-12 record with an RPI of 60 get UC in the tourney?

Just a hypothetical question.

Teams with a lower RPI that we've spent the last couple of days talking about how their bubble popped:

New Mexico (59)

Oregon (58)

Florida State (56)

UAB (55)

Syracuse (53)

VCU (52)

Ole Miss (47)

UMass (44)

I think most people that had UK in never envisioned a loss this bad on the way. Ole Miss's loss probably removed the threat they take UK's spot, but I think this hurts more than if they had beaten Georgia and then UK.

If they were 12-4 in the Big East with a #12 SOS, it would.

Yeah the fact is other bubble teams have lost as well such as Ole Miss, Florida, Baylor lost to the 12 seed Colorado, Kansas State lost in their opening round game in the Big 12 tourney, so with these losses it looking better that we'll make it in but I believe we'll be one of the last 5 or 6 teams in.

Except UK wasn't 12-4 in the Big East. I think they are still in, but they are back to the in side of the bubble...

12-4 in the Big East is a bigger accomplishment than 12-4 in the SEC.

Hay is in the barn.

I think most of the field was already projected right after the season ended.

The only spots to be determined were those last few that many of those "bubble" teams heading into the tourney.

Now with the loss, it makes it a little bit sketchy, but IMO will drop them a seed or two.

Throw in all the mitigating circumstances surrounding the SEC tourney, should help them some.

I think they are looking at something of a 10-12 seed which is better IMO than an 8-9.

Who knows, crazier things have happened.

What would be a killer is having Minny, Ill and maybe a Temple winning their tourney.

Let's see what Bilas has to say now...

I'd rather go in as a 11 or 12 seed vs a 8 or 9.

^ You say that....but why? So you don't play #1 in round 2.....what if you lose in Round 1?

2-2 now without Patterson and a bad loss. 60 RPI. It's going to be close. Last 4 in/last 4 out close...
