Roscoe Denny is headed back to the sweet 16 again. This makes his 11th trip if I am not mistaken.

Some people truly do not understand what Redhound Pride means IMO. True Hounds will find a way to win, or die trying. They do not attempt to place blame when things go wrong. It is easy to critcize team mates, coaches...etc. A true warrior understand sometimes the battle is not won, but a bigger prize awaits those that endure. This team will stay close and bond closer. When you start three sophomores, a junior and your best player is injured most of the season it understandable that all goals may not be reached. Coach P is a great coach. He will learn and return stronger, because he is a competitor. Just take a breath, recall the good times and look forward to next season. South Laurel will represent the region well and there is no shame when all have done their best. All teams have their short comings and only one team will stand unbeaten in their last game this year. No need to be down, look to the future and prepare for the next season.

After reading your post I assume you are a prophet or have a crystal ball much like the other person, because you seem to know what next year is going to bring as well! As for Wright just being a figure head thats down right funny, he is smart enough to use the thoughts of all his assistants, Coach Denny in particular, IMO there is no question about who the man is there,he didn't get a high profile job like South by not knowing what he is doing himself.

 

Why because I said the Redhounds will learn and grow from this? Seems like posters were doing a whole lot of blame throwing. The fact is we came up short. It happens, has happened and will happen to every team once in awhile. The true character of a team is shown when they can pick themselves up, learn from their mistakes and move on. Coach Wright is a lot better coach now than he was eight years ago. But if you look at his record before and after Roscoe got there, you will see that it is drastically better since Roscoes arrival. Roscoe Denny has won consistantly at every stop. Wright has won consistantly since Roscoe got there.

 

I think Coach P is an excellent coach ,that like Wright, will get better with time.

I know what you are saying about Coach Denny, I realize he has had a huge impact on South's program since being there. But Wright would have never gotten the job in the first place and kept it if he were not capable himself. Wright is smart enough as a coach to use whatever my help him and the South program to be successful and it shows.

Bottom line: Hounds(players, coaches, fans) lost focus with 5:00 to go. Everyone was counting chickens, but South stayed focused. Hounds shouldn't have lost. Must look in mirror... for 8 months .

If you just make one more shot than you did, if you force them to take 10 seconds longer to score on two possessions, if you make one more play.....you win.

I hope that the Hounds can recover but that is the type of loss that can put a team on the rocks for a long time to come. I also think that Corbin will be the favorite next season and should be the heavy favorites.

I agree they will be the favorites in 2009 but they along with Cumberland were the hands-on favorites this year, so you never can tell what will happen, that's why all the games are played.
