I hope there is no hammer dropped at all , and the boys who have endured all this mess the past few years can just put this all behind them with a new coach and a new attitude.

 

 

The Ashland news paper has been in the office of Coach Hicks attorney's office. It's my understanding that it will be in tomorrows paper. The report is said to be over 500 pages long and that the Federal Government found in Coach Hicks favor on all counts.

Well if 360 wins in 20 seasons, and being in the Region semi's and Region Finals nearly every year is boring then what are people in GC wanting. There was only one guy I know who was perfect in this world and he sure as heck didn't coach basketball. I think Ward deserves a medal for valor for all the barrage of hatred he faced in 20 season at GC, sure looks to me like no one else has been able to take the punishment with the multiple coaching changes??? The bottom line is there will never be consistency in Lloyd again until the administrators either wake up or go away and a new crop of people come along to hire someone with stability and thick skin.

Just heard this today. My sources believe when all is said and done that Coach Dodd will be the next GC coach once the 30 day posting is over. Just throwing that out there. What do you think?

Could it be that some of the Ram faithful are biting their nails and maybe posting false statements because they're afraid their coach just might leave his Dream Job?

 

It just so happens that I work at GC and someone, I can't say who, that is very, very, close to this coaching situation told me that Floyd has inquired and is interested in the position, as has Dodd, Daniel, Fraley, Smith and a few others.

We are only trying to take up for Coach Floyd. He has told us that he had not applied, so who is posting false statements? You say that he has inquired about it, does that mean that he applied, or does that mean that he spoke to some friends at Greenup and said, "Do you know who is getting the HC position".

 

My opinion on the matter is: I like Coach Floyd and want him to stay at Raceland, but if he wishes to leave then I hope he does, because I do not want a head coach that wants to be somewhere else.

I can assure you, as will several other posters, that I would post something untrue, nor would I abuse this message board by "posting false statements" relating to any topic, sports or otherwise.

 

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, that I know Floyd well and if he were considering leaving Raceland, he would have called myself, as well as others, to tell us first hand.

Let's see at school that never likes their coach and a coach who was not very popular at his previous position. Sounds like a perfect match to me.

I believe that people need to consider the current situation at GC. I think that the lawsuit that Coach Hicks will have more merit than many think. There is precedence where schools had to put a hiring freeze on positions due to issues such as this. The next few weeks for the Admin's of GC will be interesting and if and when this goes to court some of the issues this county's school has will be aired out in public. I am afraid this could be one of the ugliest (and that saying a lot considering GC’s history) episodes in the soap opera that the Greenup County Schools seem to always be spinning through.
