March 10, 200818 yr I could see them moving up to a 5-6 seed. More realistic would be a 6-7. Just had to add that

March 10, 200818 yr 7 seed, 6 would be stretching it. I don't think they can move from possibly out to 5 seed in a matter of a week.

That would give UK 2 more very quality wins with one of those possibly being Tennessee. One way or another it would boost their RPI to probably the mid 30's and give them 20+ wins. Come on now. I hope you are wrong but you will probably be right

March 10, 200818 yr Lets take a step back now guys. We were just on the bubble and now talking about trying to get a 5 seed. No way.
March 10, 200818 yr Lets take a step back now guys. We were just on the bubble and now talking about trying to get a 5 seed. No way. A 5 seed would mean that they're one of the Top 20 teams in the country. Given the way UK has finished their season and then winning the SECT, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to rank UK there. Personally I think a 6 is about as good as we can hope for though.

March 10, 200818 yr Let's not get ahead of ourselves quite yet. One game at a time. IMO UK still could get left out. Not likely, but not out of the realm of possibility.
March 10, 200818 yr Think of it this way...Should UK be ranked coming into tomorrow? Winning like 9 of the last 11 games I would think they could crack the top 25. Saying they do and next week when the tournament starts they are almost guaranteed to play a ranked team.

They are a lock at this point. I don't see us getting a 5-seed under any scenario, but they will make the tournament no matter what happens.

I hope you are right. 49 RPI as of today. Would be lower with a loss in the first game of the SEC tournament. If UK is 18-12, I will still be sweating on Sunday. 18 wins would be one of the lowest among at large bids. A win on Friday and I am in the same camp with you. Just not ready to say they are a lock quite yet.
