March 6, 200818 yr I just cant see Smith running a 4.2. Maybe Locke. When I think of 4.2 speed I think of Ted Ginn and Primetime... I don't think Smith (or Locke) has the same class of speed as those two. Locke came to UK as a sprinter on a track scholarship. You think he isnt fast? There was an interview of some sort a while back where they talked to Smith and Locke and were talking about how fast both of them were and how they can stay with each other. They would go head to head sometimes just for the heck of it. Locke always won, but it was supposedly always close. Both guys are burners.
March 6, 200818 yr Woodson ran a 4.8 40? If that's hand timed it's a little slower than I would have guessed. I know he's not in perfect condition. When I was at UK and participated in Pro Day, all 40's were electronically timed. I would expect that still occurs.
March 6, 200818 yr I know for a fact from UK that those are hand times on Smith and Locke. That's still fast, you know. But you're kidding yourself if you think they ran an electronic 4.2 and it isn't national sports news.

Were you holding the stop watch?

March 6, 200818 yr I got it from a guy that does stuff with KSR. And he's solid, and would certainly prefer those to be electronic times because he thinks the world of Alfonso. But he said flat out they were hand timed.
March 6, 200818 yr At CP they're calling it hand timed as well as indoors. It's still fast, but those are fan numbers, not scout numbers.

March 6, 200818 yr Locke is a champion sprinter. It wouldn't be that shocking if he went 4.2.Electronically, a 4.21 would have been the fastest time at the NFL Combine from any player at any position for the past three years, as far as I can tell. It might be longer, but I don't feel like looking any further.
March 6, 200818 yr But covercorner says when he participated they were all electronic...why would they change?Maybe the seniors are electronic?
March 6, 200818 yr Neon Deion ran a 4.28 hand timed. Is he that much faster than Prime Time himself, that his electronic would beat Deion Sanders' hand time? 4.24 is the fastest EVER run at the combine that was electronically timed, btw. There's Deion Sanders fast, running a hand-timed 4.28 in the 1989 Combine, there's the urban legend of Bo Jackson running a hand-timed 4.12, and now there's Johnson's 4.24, tying Eastern Kentucky's Rondel Melendez's 1999 time as the best electronically confirmed run in Combine history.

It may have been hand timed, but just because 4.24 is the fastest ever at the combine, that doesn't make it impossible to beat. Someone will eventually be faster.

Those had to be handtimed.
March 6, 200818 yr I'd say it would be a bad day for a purse snatcher if he snatched Locke's girlfriends' purse at the mall.
