I could not agree more with the above statement.

We need to stay on topic, not each other.

So if Newport, Dayton, and Bellevue want to insist on getting their chance to be in the spotlight, isn't it a little poetic justice if the teams they play make that time a little uncomfortable maybe even .....dare I say....embarassing?

 

 

Keep in mind that it is not the players that vote to seed or draw the districts. That said, I don't think any players deserve to be embarassed, even though mismatches like the HHS and Dayton game tend to result in embarassingly lopsided scores. Each player has the responsibility to go out and play hard regardless of the politics that existed in getting them to the regionals. I wasn't at the game, but from what I understand the Dayton girls never gave up and fought hard to the end. I could never be embarassed by that kind of effort.

Well said, and they did.

With Dayton making it to the Regional, do they get a "cut" of the gate for being one of the 8 or is the gate money divided evenly among all of the other 9th region schools. For a small progam, the extra cash could be a benefit to the program.

Highlands did not play Dayton in the regular season.

I don't know if you are referring to Highlands/Dayton district match up this score is incorrect. While I don't know the final score, I do know that Dayton was either at or near the 30's... It was the only time Dayton played Highlands this season....
