As bad as some might what to feel for the Dayton girls, I feel sorrier the NCC girls, who if not for the luck of the draw, they would have been playing NDA. Now do I think NCC would have beaten NDA, no, but NCC would have given NDA a much better game.

Was this the lowest point production ever in a Ninth Region Girls Basketball game by a team? I went through the KHSAA.org site and this was least points scored by a team that I could find (for the Ninth) through the years of 98/99 to the present. Is this the lowest ever?

Dayton had another 17 point game earlier this season. HHS 88 Dayton 17.

I don't know if you are referring to Highlands/Dayton district match up this score is incorrect. While I don't know the final score, I do know that Dayton was either at or near the 30's... It was the only time Dayton played Highlands this season....

Highlands beat NEWPORT 88-17 on December 14th. Not Dayton.....

Actually not quite true! I was rooting for Alex Alder the other night against Conner. Alex is a great player, and without a doubt a outstanding academic student as well. Have know her and coached her since she was just a very little girl..... Just love the young lady and I wish her the best when she moves onto College next year.

The HHS/Dayton game I referred to was earlier in the season, not the district match.

 

The lowest recent score that I'm aware of in the 9th Region girls tournament is 2001. Highlands 35 Dixie 22

 

The following year, 2002, Lloyd would score 2 more points but suffer a terrible drubbing from Holmes. Holmes 86 Lloyd 24

So if Newport, Dayton, and Bellevue want to insist on getting their chance to be in the spotlight, isn't it a little poetic justice if the teams they play make that time a little uncomfortable maybe even .....dare I say....embarassing?
