March 4, 200818 yr This has become hysterically funny. Who's left that still thinks this organization is on the right track and a move or two from the playoffs. Please, my sides are hurting from laughter.
March 4, 200818 yr Author It is done; without another team to complicate matters, the Bengals make sure it happens....tracking down Odom at the airport. http://www.bengals.com/

Please, my sides are hurting from laughter. With 2 of the top 3 RB's healthy, with 3/5 of the injured line healthy and Andrews vying to crack the starting lineup, with the LBing corps healthy and barring another decimation, with the secondary young and stabilized, and with a very good draft, believe it or not, they will be much better. Realize the Steelers, Patriots(Moss was already a Patriot), Ravens, and many others have not signed big name free agents from other teams either; some will say they were already better, but no team could survive the rash of injuries the Bengals had and have a good season, no matter how much one likes to bash them. Imagine the Patriots last season without Maroney much of the season, Faulk out the entire season, Vrable, Bruschi, Colvin, and Seau all injured and 3 of their Pro Bowl linemen injured for much of the season.....
March 4, 200818 yr What's his upside? I saw 8 sacks last year, good. 21 total tackles in 16 games? Someone please inform me as to why I should get excited. Thanks

Excuses! Do you have excuses for the last umpteen years? I do. Mike Brown. Check out the Gals record since he assumed control. Guess what he's still in charge:mad:

Thanks According to Bengals.com, he had 44 tackles. http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6670 Vandenbosch was the other DE, who is very good. I totally agree with your implication that Odom is not the savior; they need Ellis from USC bad; the Bengals will have a shot; they just need Ryan, McFadden, J. Long, and Clady to go in the top 8. I'm also hoping the deal for Robertson can be revisited, as mentioned in an ESPN article. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3274297
March 4, 200818 yr Being basketball brained, I was excited about the prospects of a cross-sport athlete.
March 4, 200818 yr The Bengals gave him $30 million over 5 years? Wow... That's a lot to give a guy who's never gotten over 8 sacks. He could be great for them, but that is a ton of money! Osi Umenyiora's last contract was only 6 years $41 million...

The Giants led the league in guys on IR a few years ago and when I complained about their injuries, I was told by some on here that injuries are a part of the game, and that the good teams battle through those injuries.
