I feel that the Reds will do better this season,because the pitching will improve.But will it be good enough to win a playoff spot, only time will tell.

I hated to lose Hamilton and I hope the deal works out, am just afraid that it will go down as another trade of a very good talent gone sour for the RedLegs. One could make a very good team up of some of the ones that the Reds have traded over the years.

 

As for how the Reds will do, I know that it sounds bad or pessamistic and I guess that it is, I am going to have to wait and see it and give credit when and only when that the Reds do it on the field and not just talk "going to change, improve" or whatever.

I honestly thought that this new management would be different and may be that will turnout out to be the case but I have not seen it as of yet.

So, I don't want "lip service", I want to see results on the field......talk is cheap.

As far as the NL central goes I think the Cubs are getting way too much hype from ESPN and other media! Anybody else think the Cubs are overhyped?

Actually they won the Division and swept the Dodgers in the first round of the Playoffs in 1995.

You're right. And they went on to get swept by Atlanta. The Reds avg games out of 1st since 1995 is 15.75. Last major dry spell was from 1941-1960 without a division championship.

I think they'll be also-rans again. 75-87 sounds about right.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Plus, I think I can talk work into getting me that new camera I need, so that's extra incentive to catch some games.
