Louisville 90 Notre Dame 85

Good Win.

I am just Glad ND didn't shoot the ball the first half like they did the last 6 minutes of the second half. those guys couldn't miss. They scored 24 points in the last 5 minutes of the game.

If they can win out the regular season I think they are a lock for a #2 seed.

I don't know if it was a record but I want to say Marquette's Novak put up like 33 or so on us a couple of years ago. That was the biggest individual beat-down against the Cards I can recall in recent memory. I only got to catch a couple of glimpses of the game in the begining and then we got slammed at work but I was amazed to see that guy had gotten 40 points on us.

I seem to recall Wardell Curry going off on occasion with the 30+ point games back in his days at VaTech. South Carolina always seemed to find a big scorer every couple of years in their Metro days. I'm sure there's some top-flite scorer who lit up L'ville during their OVC and MVC days.

But I don't recall anybody getting 40 on the Cards.

I am a U of L and ND fan and since U of L is in Ky my heart was with them. However, I seen it different as U of L dominated the first half and in the second half they missed to many free throw's down the stretch and ND had their chances to win. I liked the outcome and these two team's will do well in the Tournament. JD

What a game! Good job cards! :ylsuper::ylsuper:

Harangody is a awesome!

Louisville was 11-15 down the stretch on FTs.

Nice to see the Cards keep winning.

I'd love to see them make a strong run to the Elite 8.

:thumb: I meant to include that in my post but I guess I forgot. They couldn't miss a shot if they wanted to in the last 3-4 minutes and UofL's terrible ft shooting certainly didn't help anything either.

Like I said in the first post, you throw out the very beginning and end of the

game and it was very even. I think if you're going to discount the last five minutes

you've got to discount the first five. If I recall, four minutes into the game Louisville

shot lights out. I believe they had 22 points by the first media TO. As has been stated

by others, if this game was played at Notre Dame, it could have been very different.

That being said, Louisville gave Notre Dame fits with the press early and I don't

know how much home court would have helped.

All in all, a good win for Louisville. Should be an interesting last two weeks in the BEAST!
