The corners really are some good seats. I would have taken a 35, 36 or something like that if I were you HC.

From being in a student section at Rupp sitting behind the basket you will have the students in the same section but yes they will be lower as it is stadium seating. Most student sections will be standing all game so your view may be impaired by this.

Order them early, directly from KHSAA or get smeone from your school to order them.

As far as I know sections 11-17 and 28-34 are reserved for school officials, bands, etc, etc.

 

I sat in Section 231 for the Kentucky/San Diego game. I was back in row BB or something awful. I still thought it was a decent seat.

The bands usually sit in the end zones or sometimes in uppper level.

 

For the last several years we have been in section 31 or 32. great seats. Haven't got ours in yet this year. Hope they are in the same place. We always order ours in the fall.

Yesterday the lower arena seats from ticketmaster was section 21 row tt which is in the gray section of the seating diagram above. Those sections have rows aa - xx while the yellow sections are rows a-q. Seats that high up in those gray sections would not be bad seats as most of the students sit as far down near the floor as they can.

I got tickets today from Ticketmaster in Section 37. I talked to someone who has sat in that section and he said these are pretty good seats.

I got tickets for the final 3 sessions (Fri Eve, Sat AM, and Finals). Most of mine were in 24XX. These are on the end and the very top of the section. Usually the school/students set at different ends of the floor. So if you are like me, up in XX, you should be fine. I have set in these sections for many state tournaments, and no issues.

Mine came today.

Last year when buying tickets, we were asked what school, and if we wanted to be seated in the student/cheer section. Based on these questions, I do not think random tickets would be seated there without asking or requested. In addition, as someone else mentioned, the student/cheer section, which is directly behind the basket, a number of tickets are given to the schools playing in that session for sales to students.

Got mine yesterday, Section 27. We were happy with them because we only ordered them early last week. I was afraid the bottom arena would be sold out.
