Anybody else watch any of it? Daniel Day-Lewis was a shoe-in for best actor.

Here comes Best Movie... I'm calling "No Country for Old Men".

I saw all the nominations for Best Picture except Atonement. I think No Country was the best. Juno was very, very good, but not Oscar material IMO. Michael Clayton was very good, but it was not Oscar worthy either. It was very similar in some ways to The Firm. I think the only competition that No Country had was There Will Be Blood. That movie was very good, but also very strange...

Juno was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I went out and bought the soundtrack.

Don't take this the wrong way, Boondock, but with all the award shows, anymore its really hard to care or give any value to the awards.

Was pulling for "Juno" in every category. Ellen Page should have won.

I believe that Juno came a little before its time.

I really want to see There Will Be Blood, Juno, Michael Clayton, and No Country for Old Men. I just never have time (or a car) to get to a theater.

The Oscars are the only awards that I really care about anymore. I especially hate the Grammys. But I feel like the Oscars do a great job. And Jon Stewart did well, even though I dislike him more and more each day.

I agree that they're losing their luster but I would say that I definitely repect the Oscars more than the others. They usually get the job done right except for a few little arguments I've had with them in the past but nothing too major.

Marion Cotillard winning Best Actress in a Leading Role was a shock. I didn't know who she was.

There Will Be Blood was the only nominated film I had seen. I really liked it, but I do agree with Sting about it being a bit strange.
