Campbellsville University

A big part of CU's platform is giving kids second chances. Most football transfers to CU over the years have been cast offs from other places for one reason or another. What better place "To Find Your Calling" than Campbellsville University. Jesus forgives, therefor, shouldn't humans (coaches) be able to give second chances. I, for one, am grateful.........

That and if he isn't getting any "football money" then he is not hurting the football team and the University is getting him to pay cost of school minus any other grants or aids.

A lot of the schools in the Mid South recruit for numbers as much as for talent. Big rosters on the football team keeps the president as happy as lots of W's in the win column.

So are you saying kids don't deserve another chance? If you quit as a senior you shouldn't try and play college football? Maybe it shouldn't be a knock on a college coach for giving a kid a second chance.

I agree. But how much of a scholarship is he actually getting? Maybe they are just paying for some of the classes or books, etc.

Campbellsville has a great school and football program. I am very interested in seeing all the new changes from the new coaching staff. I think their program is on the upswing and holds a lot of promise. I have followed them for years and you just can't beat a great Saturday afternoon watching the maroon and white. GO TIGERS!!!

Is Josh Bleser in the running for starting QB? I know he was talking about trying to get back into QB-ing after being a punter for the early part of his career.

My kid is still there and will be keeping stats for the football/basketball teams.

Good pick up getting Ross Deaton for next season at QB.
Ross had a great spring game leading his team to a 22-20 win after being down 14-0....

Ross's sister Morgan has informed me that Ross was indeed named the starting QB. Can anyone confirm this?

I hope so, Ross is one tought little QB. He threw the best long ball I have ever seen in HS. Always led his WR's perfectly and was on target nearly every time. Good Luck Ross!!!

Amen! Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger. Best of luck to Coach Thomas and Coach Gehres and the rest of the staff. These are quality coaches with a great vision of getting the Tigers back to the National attention and rankings that the held less than 5 years ago.
