I sure hope he can dunk lol. I dont think him or Maile are anywhere near the top 5 dunkers of the 9th region. I think I can speak for everyone when I say Ii'd rather see a dunk by 6'1" Arrez Henderson than 6'8" Luke Mace. It is much better to see shorter players dunk. It looks much better.

Yes, I have heard he has quite some hops just like his brother did. His brother shocked the crap out of me when we were warming up for the East/ West all star game my senior year. His jumping ability was quite amazing.

I think Arrez is the only one who has really solitified himself as a "dunker" if he's near the rim. Many other player's come off break aways.

 

Did anyone see the one Arrez tried to throw down against Tighlman last year in the state tournament? He had a break away and did a 180 and was getting ready to throw it down backwards but was fouled hard causing him to miss. Would have probably been the best dunk by a high schooler I've seen in a game though.

I heard that Nate Snyder and Stu Jackson can throw it down pretty good as well for the tigers. I dont know if my source is reliable but he did say both players are around 6'3". Still nobody can beat Arrez Henderson IMO. After seeing him catch the ball along the baseline against Highlands, taking one step, then a 2 hand flush, I was amazed how quick and high he got up.

Arrez had two or three dunks like that against Highlands. He gets up quick.

I was shocked too the first time I saw Michael jump up above the rim like he does. His brother isn't quite as high of a riser yet.

Best dunk guys in the Ninth Region is a bit of a oxymoron. Given enough space, some can flush it, but it's hard for a lot of guys with good size.

 

That said, Henderson from Holmes, is absolutely the best in NKY this year, and would be most years. He can rise, and rise some more. He can do it in traffic as well. He's a special athlete. I'd love to see a dunk contest between Henderson, Miller, and Hopson. I think we'd have a surprise winner from up north.
