Cincinnati Moeller 41 Cincinnati St. Xavier 32

Final game of the regular season and playing for the GCL crown at St. X tonight. Great game, not sloppy, or overly physical for a game in which there were only 73 points scored. If you ever get an opportunity to a GCL South game during the regular season (at one of their home gyms), then you definitely should. The GCL South is 4 Super-Sized CovCaths that just beat each other up 6 times (at least) every year--that goes for their play, their student sections, and home court atmospheres.

St. X jumped out 5-0 early and led 13-9 after one quarter. Moeller (ranked 9th in USA Today's Super 25) rallied in the 2nd quarter and tied it at 17 at the half. Moeller had a 5 point possession during the 3rd to pull ahead 29-24 and led 32-25 after the 3rd. St. X hit a 3 to start the 4th and scored again to make it 32-30 with about 5 minutes to play. Moeller's defense stepped up again and they pulled away down the stretch to win 41-32.

St. X played a 2-3 zone for 3 1/2 quarters and really slowed Moeller down and gave themselves a shot to win. Great ball game!

Why are you posting Cincinnati scores? Not really concerned about Cincinnati scores. If I was I would read about them in the Enquirer since they don't cover KY basketball. I thought this was Bluegrass Preps not Buckeye Preps!!!!!!!!!

No need to blast off on a game recap some here will be interested in reading...

Get a copy of tomorrow's Cincinnati Enquirer. Maybe somebody can give us some scores from Nebraska.

Appreciate the recap JB. Gives some of us some more to talk about and read. Why waste money on a newpaper, when we have already paid on here to talk about sports?

I believe this is the "Boys Basketball" threads, right?

Same reason people near Ashland post Huntington scores when they have a great team there and people in Louisville might post about an Indiana team if there was a great team or player across the river from them. If this website was restrict to things in Kentucky only, it would be pretty lame. :thumb:

Get over whatever petty agenda you are holding against a great game played less than 10 miles from the KY boarder. JB is from KY, went to the game, and passed on what he saw. It's part of what makes BGP great. If you don't like it, just don't read the thread. Pretty simple really...

THANKS! I am interested! There is interest in these games! Thanks again! :thumb::thumb:

You're a little too new a member to really be complaining about this. Considering the large NKY population that has membership to this site this is a pretty valid thread. In fact, occassionally you will also see threads on games Oak Hill or other National powerhouses play if they get nationally televised. Pick your random arguements better.

Hmmm, then lets see.....

Question 1 Why did you click on the thread to read these comments???

Question 2 Why comment at all?

Follow Gametime's advise, ignore a thread if you don't care about it. Its easy, I pretty much ignore all Eastern Ky and Southern Ky threads unless they happen to have my alma mater involved in it.

Everyone has a right to create a thread and talk about any game they want. As others have said, if you don't like the thread, then don't post in it!

Now, back to the topic and the game. How did Roberts do form Moeller?

I agree, dont read the thread if you dont care. How simple is that? I love hearing about any score especially if its two really good teams.

Roberts hasnt done much the entire season as Moeller is loaded with talent. He got is Div 1 Scholly so Im sure he's fine but how dominant would Highlands be this year with Roberts at the post/McGraw and Simpson as well as Kowolonek. That is 4 scoring options. :scared: Beating a dead horse though.

Assuming Roberts would be healthy, they would dominate. No question.
