Player fouled on shot-ref calls it -ref #2 calls tec on other end of floor on coach-ref#3 lines em up for tec shots- permits player to shoot that was not in game at time of tec call ! player shoots 2, ball is given to other team and put in play !! Original player fouled was never given the freethrows awarded !! When ref was questioned two possessions later he replied : foul was on floor before shot . QUICK THINKIN REF!! with 3 refs on floor there is no excuse for that. They made a total mess out of that one.

 

A player need not be in the game at the time of a technical to be inserted for the sole reason of shooting the technical free throws.

Boyd now sits at 9-11 I believe. Three of their last four before districts are on the road. Would be nice for them to finish this season right around 500 considering the horrid start they got off to.

You say Russell is young with 4 seniors. I guess this means they will be in the same boat next year correct?

I think if you look at FBALL's post he said they are inexperienced and young. Only one of the seniors (Ferguson) saw much varsity action last year thus the other 3 are inexperienced. Then, the rest of the players are sophmores & a 7th grader. They are the young ones.

I was under the impression that applied to an injury foul ? Well, if you are in fact correct .......I stand corrected , and say- I'm sorry to those refs........they only made half a mess out of that one !!

Trust me, no rabbits used in this game. Boyd stalled the ball about as much as Russell did.

If that was the only calls they missed I'd say they did a great job.

Trust me that wasnt the only bad calls, but too many to list.

 

Also have to understand hard to make a large number of bad calls when both teams stand at the point and hold the ball. But if you are going by percentage, at least 60 percent of the calls made were questionable. I think both teams offenses were luring the Refs to sleep too.:thumb:

Take up for who? Boyd? Of course I do, that is where I am from. I also have another present team I support in the 16th for my children and then I also always root for any other 16th Region team to succeed outside of the Region. Now with that being said, just because you support a team doesnt mean you are not allowed to be honest about what happened.

This obviously didnt happen in this game, because there was no technicals or nothing that exciting happening tonight. Also there was only 2 Refs at Boyd's game.
