February 10, 200818 yr The guy has had one full season so far, he hasn't done too badly. True, but some people like to claim that Tony Romo is the "next Brett Favre"...He's not.
February 10, 200818 yr Author True, but some people like to claim that Tony Romo is the "next Brett Favre"...He's not.On that we can agree.
February 10, 200818 yr Romo's only been a starter for two seasons and he's been very good, IMO. It's a little early to judge how good he will or will not be. But, that's what we do...we always get ahead of ourselves trying to declare the next great player and anoint them before they've played half their career...the '08 Patriots are the perfect example...many had them marked as the greatest team ever and they weren't even the best of '08 when the season ended. You can't accurately judge an uncompleted body of work...all I know is that Romo has been very, very good for a guy who's only started for two season. There are very few QB's who have played as well as he has in their first two seasons as a starter. You can't argue that.

February 19, 200818 yr Uh oh... Is Eli doomed this upcoming season? Madden 09 Just a rumor for now, but it wouldn't worry me. That's all just coincidence. I'd expect Adrian Peterson to be the #1 candidate for the Madden cover though.
March 17, 200818 yr Just found this, for those of you who thought the Giants were going to trade Shockey. Eli Manning has "made it clear" that he wants Jeremy Shockey back with the Giants this season, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Mort confirms reports that the Giants have taken several calls about Shockey, but still have no intentions of moving him. Manning is reportedly excited about the prospect of using more two-tight end sets with Shockey and Kevin Boss. The Giants might trade Shockey for a first-round pick, but no team is likely to offer that much for a player coming off a broken leg. That's from Rotoworld.
