Are we talking about Louisville Collegiate who is rated 2nd from the bottom in the 7th region? Congrats Rose Hill for advancing.

What does rankings, have to do with the All "A" and this game, nothing....Also, I believe Collegiate is 11-8 and per the scoreboard in the middle of the 7th Region.

 

I believe Whitefield and KY Country Day, are the only other "A" teams, in that Region. Any team advancing, should receive the compliments due, even when they didn't play their best.

I thought Colegate had an excellent game plan. They spread out Rose Hill and hit some big time shots. In fact the first three that was shot to tie the game rimmed in and out. Even though it wasn't a high scoring game it was exciting at the end.

 

I thought the play of the game was when 24 blocked the shot late in 4th. That was a nice athletic play.

Congratulations to the Royals. This game showed a side of the Royals that I haven't seen. Who knows this style of play may pay off for them in the future. I like the up-tempo but I like wins more. Again great win and I will be there watching tonight. The picture in the Ashland Daily was extra special. Yours truly is in it.

Amen !:thumb: I'm not Rose Hills number 1 fan, but this is a young team that will have to be delt with for two more years.Any team from the 16th that can make some noise anywhere down state, well I am all for it ! There have been a few good teams go to the big dances from the 16th, very few state champs, and most one and out !!, I say GO ROYALS !!:dancingpa

I find it funny how people are trying to talk up Collegiate ... :lol:

If you go by someone like, say, Cantrell's ratings, Collegiate would be analagous to a Fleming County or a Lewis County out of the 16th. On paper, it shouldn't have been close.

 

Not saying I subscribe to the validity of those ratings, just saying.

 

Not at all unusual to see a team struggle in the first game of a tourney like this; someone said survive and advance and maybe RH got that clunker out of their system.

Louisville Collegiate sure has improved.. I played them when I was in high school and they were down!

At least it isn't as bad as the Owensboro Cath. game. They had 8 pts total at halftime! That would have been nice to watch.

There's been lots of low scores so far in the tourney. Rose Hill just needs to survive and move on. Doesn't have to be pretty.

Congrats to the Hill. I say it's a good win considering Euton and Jackson combined for less than 20 points. Role players must have really stepped up. IMO, they will be the key to how far RH goes in this tournament, and the rest of the season.

Who they played in their region doesnt have squat to do with their draw in the state tournament. It doesnt take a lot of thought to see they got a great draw? Louisville Collegiate and now Murray in the 2nd round?
