Anthony Nolan has won enough games in the 13th to be considered.

Just my opinion. I know it won't, but I don't see why not. His record while at Cawood is as good as anyone.

They will go after somone with a state title under their belt. It doesn't have to be a KY state title.

Look for him to be at Harlan City Schools.:thumb:

Al is not going to leave Hazard anytime soon, imo. Too much talent coming back in the future. He's loaded this year, and loses only one player to graduation.

If MJ is Mike Jones then he would be a great coach to get the program started in Harlan. He is a vet of many basketball wars in the 13th region.

Nolan has done a solid job at Cawood, but he has never won the big one (regional title) like Jones, Holland, Wright, etc. This is not a knock against Nolan, like I said he has done a pretty good job at Cawood.

Well he is a Harlan County guy and if MJ don't take it I would like to see it go to a local coach like Coach Nolan.

Yes, MJ is Mike Jones, or at least that is who I'm referring to in my posts, and it will be his job to turn down. Can you imagine, Larkey - football - and Jones - basketball - :jump: The future would look bright for Harlan County!

Absolutely no way Larkey takes the Harlan coaching job.

I think MJ will take the basketball position.

if jones takes the boys who takes the girls
I think they should look at two local female coaches from the mountain area. I think first on my list would be Debbie Green from M'boro. She has been a soild girls coach for many years. The second female on my list would be Parsons the current girls coach at Corbin. Parsons has done a good job with the lady Hounds program.

Debbie Green would definitely be the best choice. But, it won't happen. Her husband took over as the Middlesboro girls coach when she stepped down to assistant coach and her son plays for the boys team at Middlesboro. Could you imagine the dinner table with her coaching a district rival? No doubt she is a great coach. In my opinion she is the one that built Middlesboro girls into what they are.

I think it will be Mike Jones if he wants it. I am sure they would try Billy Hicks, but I do not see him coming back. After that I am not sure who they would try to get to lead the Black Bears.

Absolutely no way Larkey takes the Harlan coaching job.

You better check your sourses jasahu on Larkey - Go the football thread and read about it.
