I know this is supposed to be about Kentucky, but did you know in West Virginia you can divorce your wife and she is still your sister!

Bless their little hearts.

I laughed out loud reading this one. My hubby asked if I was alright. When I explained the thread, he said "ubearbaleebit" was a hillbilly talking without his teeth in.

He also gave me another one:

My dog got "runned over".

Well I'll B....

This is the same with the name 'Cornett' in my county. People are Cor-nit when they live in Owsley County, then they move to Ohio and come back and visit, and it's suddenly Cor--Net, with a pause between the syllables. Then everyone says (behind their back) that they're trying to be "above their raising."

You know what it is us KY folk just pronouce everything out like it should be. The other people try to leave out letters and change stuff.

Things i have learned

The left lane is for faster moving traffic. In all seriousness Ohio drivers need to learn this. It drives me insane.

That is very true. I don't this its just Ohio drivers, its every out of stater. I think we are the only state that understands if your slow you get over to the right and let the faster ones pass you. It drives me insane.

I agree. Those Buckeyes just kill me with the way they murder the English language.:creepy:

I have learned that the toothbrush was invented in Kentucky.

Had it been invented in any other state, it might have been called the "teethbrush".

You're mistaken West Virginia and Tennessee with Kentucky.;)

They kill me with about everything they do.:D

BTW, am I the only one who has ever been to the " county line "? lol

Yeah, I've been there a couple times.:ylsuper:

I wish they could explain how the numbers "5" and "9" are three syllables.
