January 22, 200818 yr A-Rod as a SS...he is still the best talent in baseball. Heck, I would even take A-Rod as a 3B. I love the guy!
January 23, 200818 yr Pujols by a bunch. He's got a World Series Ring--A-Rod doesn't. For the people that want to play A-Rod at SS that is just a pipe dream at this point. You could play him there but he'd be one of the 6-7 worst defensive players at that position. Plus he comes up small when it matter most. I'm glad he's a Yankee.

To say he doesn't win is weak. Pitching dominates the game and he only occupies one position in the lineup. I guess Dan Marino's a loser too...

Yeah A-Rod has all the chances in the world to win. What about this year? He had atleast 4 at bats with runners in scoring position in the ALDS game vs cleveland. I would know. I was there.:sssh:

Or the fact that the Yankees had been to the World Series 6 out of 7 years before he got there but have yet to make it with him in Pinstripes?

How would you react. Thsat was to one station to buddy. No they had three like every other team in the history of baseball. But when your paying a guy like a rod the money he is getting, he needs to hit in atleast one of those situations. There is no excuse for that.
January 23, 200818 yr If the reason you pick Pujols is because you'll have more money to pay for other players, then I guess that works. Seems to me you'd want to build your team around the best player though...after pitching...
