I think Somerset will have enough back to have a decent team.

Somerset lost a lot to graduation. Couple that with the fact that they only had I believe 8 Juniors on the roster and the 2008 Jumpers will be very young and dominated by Sophmores and Juniors. That said there are some good athletes in those 2 classes and the rising Freshman went 9-0 and won their conference. They should be okay in a weak district but probaby won't be a factor on a regional or state level.

I agree, Jumpers will be young but could really be special the next few years if they all stay with it an put in the work. Could have more talent overall than some of the really good Jumper teams from the past but with less star power. They will have to work for everything they get, however I feel this group will do the work necessary. GO JUMPERS!!!!!! :bunny:

Bucknut, my son will be a freshman this year, I'll talk to him and ask Jumper Dad and see what I can find out. I haven't heard much myself but since SHS doesn't start back until later they can't put pads on til Thursday so there hasn't been much news so far.

Probably not the two that you're asking about but there should be a new guy at practice anyday. He and his family has moved here from Georgia.

All I know about is a couple that have came over from the Science Hill district.

 

Can't wait til they get pads on and really start getting after it.

This will be a rebuilding year for Somerset, but I am looking forward to the season starting. Can't wait to hear how the new kids are doing once the pads are put on. Keep us posted AverageJoe.
