January 31, 200818 yr With most of UK defense returning, and a different approach on offense. And UL with thier defense up in the air, plus a QB that still needs to prove somehting. I give UK the edge. Imo. 1. You obviously haven't seen Hunter Cantwell play. 2. If UL has a QB that still needs to prove something, UK needs to first choose a QB, and then let him try and prove something....
January 31, 200818 yr I dont mind UL, i like them a lot better then UK. My brother went there and i have gone to some games. I just dont understand how you people are on here talking about them being better next year or whatever you said. Who do they have coming back on O besides this back up who has not proven anything. You don't even know what we said?!?!?!   I'm done with you...Come back when you actually have a chance (or a point)...
January 31, 200818 yr Author 1. You obviously haven't seen Hunter Cantwell play. 2. If UL has a QB that still needs to prove something, UK needs to first choose a QB, and then let him try and prove something.... Lets see here. He's proven that he can throw for 19yds. in 73-10 blowout against Murray St. Also that he can throw for 60 yds. on six completions with a pick in 55-17 SPANKING from USF. Yeah he he sounds like a QB I'd put alot of faith in. My point is, he hasn't proven anything.
January 31, 200818 yr I think someone is wearing red glasses. He did not think UL was going to have a drop off last year after losing Petrino either. I thought they had the potential to be great. None of us knew the day to day goings on, or what Bobby Petrino did, or didn't do. That had a direct reflection on the ending result of last season. I am ok with that now. I like that most on here think that U of L will get roasted.

Looks like my "ROOKIE" buddy just tourched you.:flame: You are DONE!! :sssh::sssh::sssh::sssh::sssh::sssh: He is absolutly right. He has not proven anything!!
January 31, 200818 yr Okay maybe you didnt say that but you all have your head in the clouds. To even think UL will be a good team next year is a joke. 450+ to syracuse:confused:! It will take a little more then some coaches to turn that around. The 450 to the 'Cuse is long, long over.....they have changed schemes and it shouldn't happen again, though it might, you never know in this game. U of L basically has been lucky enough to get the bulk of the breaks since 1998, last year, it seemed every break went against them....I can take that once every decade.

Geez, you guys are hilarious.....Why does it seem that rookies have to get torched every new year? Hunter Cantwell 2005 - Oregon State - 3/3 - 60 yards - 1 td Syracuse - 3/5 - 66 yards UConn (Brohm was injured) - 16/25 - 271 yards - 1 td VPI - 15/37 - 216 yards - 3 tds (all the while under duress for most of the game) 2006 - Temple - 5/6 - 52 yards UM (Brohm was hurt) - 3/4 - 113 yards, 1 td KState - 18/26 - 173 yards - 1 td MTSU - 17/32 - 340 yards - 3 td He is seasoned and ready.

He stepped up in 2006 when Brohm went down with an injury, when nobody thought he would be able to do anything, and won several games for UL. He also had to play in the Gator Bowl against VaTech. Even though UL lost, Cantwell played a heckuva game considering the circumstances (played with a broken nose for 3/4 of the game). The kid has heart, and has PROVEN to the CARDINAL faithful that he can manage the game. Ask around, 99% of Cardinal fans will say they are 100% confident in Hunter. :thumb:

If UL has a QB that hasn't proven anything, how as either of UK's possible QB's proven anything??? Since we're talking about next year, UL DEFINITELY has the edge at QB.

January 31, 200818 yr Since we're talking about next year, UL DEFINITELY has the edge at QB. Now, I think that it should be an edge for Louisville, but part of there being an unknown is just that, and unknown. I like to think Louisville will have the upper hand in this department, but Pulley, or whomever could come out and be gangbusters.

I like to think Louisville will have the upper hand in this department, but Pulley, or whomever could come out and be gangbusters. Since our buddies here think that Hunter hasn't proven anything, nobody can argue that either Pulley or Hartline have proven anything...We already know what Hunter can do. All we can do is speculate with the other two.
January 31, 200818 yr All unbiasness to the side... OH SNAP! A lot of times people look to the new QB with high hopes and expectations... but since Hunter Cantwell has shown mad skills already, Louisville fans will, IMO, be quicker to recieve him as the new beloved QB more than Brohm.... what I mean by that is not that Hunter is BETTER than Brohm, but with so much time on the sideline and the proof that he can step up when he has to SO well, nobody is more deserving of the spotlight right now for UofL than Hunter Cantwell.
January 31, 200818 yr Everybody has their opinions, but for the most part, spring practice will give everyone a better idea of where Kentucky and Louisville stand for 08.
