Mason Co 74 Lexington Catholic 73

Not true. While there is an assigning secretary over the officials that determine their game assignments, every coach has the ability to scratch an official that he may have a problem with. This keeps the scratched offical from working any of that team's games for the entire season. Obviously there is a limit as to how many a coach can scratch, I'm not sure of the number. If Mason County's coach thought that there was an official that hated Darius Miller as another poster stated earlier, I'm sure that he would be the first name on the scratch list.

I didnt know about the "scratch" rule and assuming you are correct then obviously Coach OHearn didnt use this procedure this year. IF Coach OHearn has a "scratch" available he should use it next year to keep Hudson away from the Royals and hope he doesnt get assigned to the 10th regional tournament again.

I believe you can scratch up to five officials but it must be done before the season starts. I believe it is too late to effect this year or the Regional Tournament. Mason has had Hudson four times and three of the four were Lex Catholic twice and Scott Co. The only big game that Mason has played without Hudson was Bryan Station first game of the season. Surely there are other games on the night Mason plays that Hudson could work!!!!!!!

Congrats Royals big win here.Sounds like a great game im unfortunatly had to miss both games this weekend(it will be my only 2 i miss all year):D as i was out of town at the in-laws.Sounds like a whale of game though as it always is with these 2.:dancingpa

Everyone on here needs to stop crying about the officiating. There is not a fan or team out there in any game that thinks they get a fair shake with officiating, but that is part of it. These are both two really good teams and they have a chance to play again. I believe that Catholic has a tougher road to get there, but they have the team to do it. This game reminded me of the first one, but with the opposite team being down by a lot and coming back to win. These are two really good teams, so give them some credit and stop the whinning. By the way, some of you on here have mentioned LUCK. Well, I believe that it takes a little luck to win it all, so you want to be lucky.

Amen! And I agree with you, no one ever thinks they are getting the calls. The only time that I have thought that was when Madison Central played University Heights at Fairdale, I felt that we got more calls than they did. I wish this experience for all sports fans out there, its a very unique feeling to actually believe that the refs are on your side. LOL:D

Any idea what the attendance was for this game?
