Just about every Cov Cath / Holy Cross game down in Latonia has a line that stretches a few blocks long. Even in the snow.

Folks, its not often you get the chance to watch an offensive performance that will stick in your memory for quite a while. Sorrell's performance tonight was one of them.

 

I don't think he missed his 3rd shot of the GAME until the 4th quarter. He never forced one shot the entire evening. His repertoire is second to none in NKY. How do you want him to score? 3 Pter? LONG 3 Ptr? Jump hook? Drive to the left? Right? Fast break? Check on all of them.

 

His offensive game is hands down the most well-rounded in NKY and its not close.[/quote]

It's a really good group of seniors in NKY this year, but anyone who has Sorrell ranked fourth in the area is missing a RARE treat. His numbers are mind blowing.

 

You can bash my rankings in the other thread all you want. I watch a whole lot of 9th Region basketball. I've told you this already, but from what I've seen Sorrell is very good player. I was very impressed with how much he improved this year. Statistics don't always tell the whole story. He's very good and easily one of the best, but you need to see more of Henderson if you don't think he's #1.

Henderson's offensive game has improved, he has only been asked to do so much. Holmes's offense doesn't run to get him the ball. He is a better ball handler passer, and has improved a perimeter shot...but he excels in what he is asked to do in the team concept.

He doesn't have to score to take over a game. Matter of fact he doesn't need the ball to impact a game.

Kind of like having the big kid in the middle that protects the basket and blocks shots.

He simply locks you up.

All valid points. Arrez is an all-timer when it comes to defense.

When do they play? You are correct , as we saw with the CCH/BW game, that this is far from a given. BW has a lot of talent spread out amongst the boys that play which may cause some problems for HC.

 

IMO Sorrell will kill BW inside. He'll own the boards. Can BW do something about that?

 

What makes you think Sorrell will own the boards? i know he's 6'4, but BW's entire starting lineup is over 6'0, and dont forget the two kids off the bench who are both 6'4 also. So if you think Sorrell is going to have a field day inside that is very inaccurate

They are an athletic bunch upfront so I look forward to the game.
