Duke won. That's the good part. They got exposed yet again tonight. FSU used their speed and quickness in the half court set to expose Duke's lackluster perimeter play on defense. This has been an achilles since 2004, it is an extreme issue that looks to be further exploited as the ACC schedule wears on. They won a battle tonight, but in that they may have shown much weakness in the rest of the war that is the ACC schedule. They are ranked #5 on name only, they aren't close to that good. I imagine we'll see a dose of reality when they play Clemson this Saturday night. Nolan Smith, while a freshman has to get more clock simply because he has the speed and agility to match up with this quick ACC guards. Good luck Duke, you'll need it.

I think you might be down playing how good they really are but the only weakness I see with Duke is at Center.

Duke winning, good??? I was hoping for the upset in this one, the Noles have a decent team but just couldnt get the baskets to drop when they needed them. The score of 70-57 makes it seem like Duke had a commanding lead but really it was a 1 point game with about 3 minutes left and then fouls came when duke got up 5. Duke blew a (i think) 18 point lead that they had in the 1st half. Ugly game and i saw the most charges called in a game ever! Had to be over 10 charges called.

I just meant you are lucky in regards to how everything has played out since Coach K got there. As much as I loathe Duke, you have to credit they way they handle themselves on and off the court. Just a quality program, coaching staff and usually quality kids.

There are many reasons why FSU hasn't made many if any NCAA tournament appearances over the years. They just aren't the smartest team in the world.

Ryan Reid? Yes i saw that, i dont think Paulus was holding his face from that, i think it was from the previous contact during the play. If your going to throw a punch atleast get your moneys worth, that was a horrible punch.
