Here's another way to look at the regions. If you average the ratings for the top 8 teams in the region, here's what you get (according to my hasty and unscientific calculations).

Region 2 - 68.1625 (7)

 

Region 3 - 67.775 (9)

 

Region 4 - 68.875 (5)

 

Region 5 - 68.4375 (6)

 

Region 6 - 71.2125 (4)

 

Region 7 - 76.6625 (2)

 

Region 8 - 66.0625 (12)

 

Region 9 - 72.675 (3)

 

Region 10 - 67.3375 (10)

 

Region 11 - 80.425 (1)

What this gives you is a feel for the strength of each region's regional tournament. Not to say that the 8 highest-rated teams will make the tourney; but it does give a feel for how strong the top tier of teams is in each region.

Its a down year for the 10th as alot of the teams graduated their starting lineups last year.

 

However, alot of the teams have been playing a tough schedule so there records and such are probably hurting the the outside view of the 10th.

 

I think the 16th by far is the weakest as they only have one good team and the rest there is hardly any competition of Elliot County and company

I'm surprised to see the 4th Region that high. They have no dominant teams but top to bottom are very good.

Elliott beat East Carter, another 16th region team by 1 at home tonight. There is some competition in the 16th.
