I think he will do well in the NFL. It is great news for us Buckeye fans that B. Robiskie and Malcolm Jenkins will return next season.
John Anthony Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Not surprised. Top 15 pick more than likely.
buzzer beater Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Not good news. I am very happy for him and he's more than ready for the league, but this hurts us. A lot...
Owlz Fan Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 With Laurinaitis returning and a great number of palyers returning for the Buckeyes it woulnd't suprise me one bit to see them back in the National Champioship game. If i was to pick right now based on talent returning i would say OSU vs. Florida next year for the title

If i was to pick right now based on talent returning i would say OSU vs. Florida next year for the title I agree. We just have to beat Southern Cal next season. I think with a win at USC, and we can go 8-0 in the Big 10, we will be right back there again. I also think UGA will have a better shot at the championship game than UF...
John Anthony Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 OSU returns Lawrence Wilson next year. He was supposed to be the next big thing before he got hurt early. They compared him to Will Smith former first round draft pick. He will step in nicely for Gholston. Robert Rose is there also. Between those two kids you have a combination of a 1st/2nd/3rd round pick between the two. In regards to Laurenitis.... OSU has a riduculous amount of LB's waiting in the wings even after him. Mark Johnson, one of the top linebackers from CA in 2006, Ross Homan and Thaddeus Gibson were the two top LB's in the state of OH in 2006. Brian Rolle one of the top LBs from FL in 2007 (cousins with Antrelle Rolle from the Cardinals). Jermile Hines, the top LB from OH in 2007. Two more 4 star top LB's signed for 2008. Two more 4 star top LB's signed for 2009, including Ross Homan's younger brother (Ross class of 2006). I would say we are good at LB thru 2011 or so.
oldrambler Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Not surprised. Top 15 pick more than likely. I agree, Gholston is definately ready and as much as I would rather see all college athletes stay for their four years I realize that is just not going to happen. I wish him well.:thumb:

If i was to pick right now based on talent returning i would say OSU vs. Florida next year for the title I am in no way going to make that call now (way too early and I don't want to jynx them) but I do expect OSU to be in the hunt again,....."Tradition Never Graduates" . My early picks for next season would include the Buckeyes along with Florida, USC, Georgia, Texas an probably a couple of others that I am forgetting. The Ohio State/USC game early in the season will go a long way in sending one of them right in middle of th conversation.

After their performance the last two years I think OSU will have to have an undefeated season to be invited back to the Championship game.

Hinge game for both teams next year. Winner has a good shot at the BCS Championship Game.
