Lewis decided they thought it would be interesting to run w/ Elliott, they held it close until 3rd quarter. Elliott always had at least 2 starters in the game, Coach Hampton even was quoted as saying he could not go to his bench because Elliott did not, what was he afraid of?

They dressed 10 maybe 11 and played about 8 until the end and always had a couple of starters on the floor.

No, not at all. But it sounds like some of their starters remained in there late in the game. To me, if my team were up by over 30 late in the 4th quarter, I would have all reserves in the game. I know they don't have a deep bench, but still.

I'm not sure why Ferguson came back in, because I was at another high school game. Maybe someone that was there can tell us? I will say again though - if you only dress 10 players, you'll have to have a few of you top players in at all times, no matter what.

Anybody else you could blame for running it up, but Coach Mays has taken more than is fair share of beatings in his time, so he knows how it feels.

In my opinion, not with a 38 point lead. That's how players get hurt. I know of a case where a starter was in late in the 4th quarter with a 50 point lead, no subs in the game, and she tears her ACL.

I don't know. I'm going to wait until I hear from someone from Elliott that was at the game. Maybe they'll have better reasoning. Either way, another good win by Elliott. Might be a little tougher tomorrow, especially after playing tonight.
