According to both the records kept by Highlands and the KHSAA, HHS' current all-time W-L-T record is 758-234-26. This is also their W-L-T record, according to TexasHSFootball.com, which ranks teams for the all-time wins list. However, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations (nfhs.org), HHS' current overall record is 755-234-26. So, there must be 3 games (all three are wins) that the NFHS is not counting, but which the KHSAA and the TexasHSFootball.com site are counting. Does anyone have an idea about this 3-game discrepancy? I was going to write the NFHS to bring this to their attention, since theirs are technically the "official" national records numbers, but before doing this I wanted to make sure someone here didn't know why this difference existed.

Maybe they just can't add.:D Makes you wonder if they have other schools with incorrect win/loss records.

A couple of thoughts:

1. One would think that they would base their numbers off of the respective state high school athletics association (in this case, the KHSAA), in which case the NFHS numbers are mistakenly 3 off the real numbers.

2. Could it be that some of HHS' opponents are not considered bona fide opponents by the NFHS?

To continue with my previous post...

For instance, HHS is 1-0-0 against Fort Thomas Midway (they played early on). Who (or what) is Fort Thomas Midway? Also, HHS is 1-0-0 against the Ohio Mechanics Institute. Is this some kind of a high school, or what?

The KHSAA's numbers are completely in line with HHS' internal numbers (758 wins), so one would think that all of HHS' wins should be considered legitimate.

Oh, and on a somewhat related note, I am currently entering all of HHS' yearly schedules and game results (opponents and final scores) for EVERY GAME of every season (1915-present) on http://www.highlands-bluebirds.com! All of this will be up and running online on the website within the next week.

In 1915 Highlands first year of football the coach played in a game and was ejected as a ringer. I do not know if this was considered a forfeit.

How the heck did you get game scores for every single game?! I've got them through 1992, but I didn't know anyone had been keeping them since then.
