However, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations (nfhs.org), HHS' current overall record is 755-234-26. So, there must be 3 games (all three are wins) that the NFHS is not counting, but which the KHSAA and the TexasHSFootball.com site are counting. Does anyone have an idea about this 3-game discrepancy? I was going to write the NFHS to bring this to their attention, since theirs are technically the "official" national records numbers, but before doing this I wanted to make sure someone here didn't know why this difference existed.

A couple of thoughts:

 

1. One would think that they would base their numbers off of the respective state high school athletics association (in this case, the KHSAA), in which case the NFHS numbers are mistakenly 3 off the real numbers.

 

2. Could it be that some of HHS' opponents are not considered bona fide opponents by the NFHS?

...losses against Elder don't count!! (lol)

In 1915 Highlands first year of football the coach played in a game and was ejected as a ringer. I do not know if this was considered a forfeit.
