January 11, 200818 yr UC did the same with Trevor Anderson and Michigan State. He had to pay his way for the first semester at MSU and then BK gave him his release after the season. That was also tied to Dantonio trying to poach his old players...
January 11, 200818 yr If you KNEW Rockpride, you'd know why it was funny... The problem is most on here don't know Rockpride from Adam. So most of us look the facts we are given and form our opinion. Someone saying "I have a source" or "if you guys knew what I did"doesn't hold too much weight around here anymore.
January 12, 200818 yr I think I remember when we were discussing this about Legion that you guys in the know said it is not a four year ride, but a one year scholly that is renewed each year. If that is the case and this years scholly is up then he's not actually on scholarship as I understood it. Is that correct ? Correct, you have to renew it.....but he still has to be released from the school.

As far as the WVU to UM thing, I think we'll see, I am quite sure some of those kids are going to wait and see who the new coach is first, then form their opinions. Then the school must make its choice.
January 12, 200818 yr Author Did Stone('s family) not threaten to take this to court when it was going on with him? Seems like they did and then it all of a sudden became a non-issue for transferring. i could be thinking of something else, but I am almost certain that's how it played out.

January 12, 200818 yr If I'm Anthony's father...I would strongly recommend that he not even consider the Razorbacks because if Bobby P. feels a better opportunity opens up next year, he will be gone from Arkansas. The man is a genius Coach but has absolutely no loyalty bones in his body. As for a young man transferring and having to pay one year before going on scholarship.....IMO it is a small price to pay to be where he wants. If his family is willing to foot the bill for the one year, its really nobody's business. I'm sure if UL didn't step up and stip the release, Petrino would attempt to raid the Cardinal cabinet.

January 17, 200818 yr I'm a little out of the loop on this situation, has Allen expressed interest that he even wants to go to Arkansas? I know he had intentions of transferring during the season long before Petrino landed in Arkansas and his school of choice at the time was The U as I stated a while back in a Kragthorpe thread but that could obviously could have changed by now.
