January 5, 200818 yr College has a different rule than high school. In high school, the basket never counts. Who's your interpreter?
January 5, 200818 yr In high school the basket can count if the shot was put up before the foul occured.
January 5, 200818 yr What about the free throw part? I thought you didnt get free throws on an offensive foul?
January 5, 200818 yr The call was a push after the shot was released, it was NOT a player control foul (charge). So, the basket counts and since Louisville was in the bonus, they shot free throws at the other end. Terrible rule but it can be called in both HS and college.
January 5, 200818 yr I don't think they called a charge. It was a push after the basket by Crawford. That would explain it then.
January 5, 200818 yr Author I don't think they called a charge. It was a push after the basket by Crawford. wrong it was a charge ,, watched it 3 times on tivo. called a charge
January 5, 200818 yr In high school the basket can count if the shot was put up before the foul occured. Not true.
January 5, 200818 yr Was it that an offensive foul was called away from the ball, the guy shot, it counted, then the guy that got fouled away from the ball whot the free throws?

Are you saying it was not a foul on the shooter? If so, I would disagree. In high school, this is a player control foul. The fact that he released it prior to the foul is irrelevant. Its a player control foul and you never have FTs on a player control foul in high school.
January 5, 200818 yr Was it that an offensive foul was called away from the ball, the guy shot, it counted, then the guy that got fouled away from the ball whot the free throws? The foul was on the shooter, Crawford. He released the ball prior to fouling, thus, the shot was good and , if the other team is in the bonus, they shoot.
