Yes they were handled by Deming but the Devils played like they were on a mission. They hit just about everything they put up. I think Augusta just had an off night

A 40 point off night :D

But they did beat Bishop Brossart if im correct?

I'm not saying they were going to win that game but atleast make it worth watching. Augusta looked as if they didn't want to be there.

They lost to BB 66-60

Just like the BC tournament Augusta, Deming, Brossart and St. Patrick find themselves in the same bracket. I think we can ALL agree the winner comes from this bracket. Should be a lot of fun. What a way to start it all with Deming vs. St. Patrick in the play-in game!! If the winner of that game wins the whole thing they will have certainly earned it!!

NO doubt the winner comes from the bracket of: Augusta, Deming, Bishop Brossart and St. Patrick. The champion will be crowned easily from this side or a major shock will have to have happened for this not to occur.

I think you have to make St. Pat the favorite. They're 11-3 and have beat all of the teams (BB, Deming, Augusta) mentioned here. The closest game they had, Brossart, was an off-night for Hinson's boys shooting, but to me, they showed a lot to make that major comeback. Their game tonight against Montgomery County could show how far they've come as a team and it can only help them to play "up" against a higher-caliber opponent.

I will go with Brossart, they received the best possible draw in that packed upper bracket. St. Patrick is playing well but will have to win three pretty tough games to make it to the championship game. Brossart was upended by both Deming and St. Patrick a week ago by a total of 3 points. St. Patrick will have to expend a great deal of energy and win 4 games. Not saying this can't be done, but will be difficult, plus they play the host school opening night and that will be difficult within itself.

O well I knew it was a close game, I must've got it backwards.

The only thing I see stopping Deming from winning the Class A is themselves, you never know which team is gonna showup.

I don't think Paris has a shot, they are young this year and the game I saw they looked pretty bad.

:thumb:You are correct. I mistakenly thought I was in the girls forum. I will go with Brossart on the boys side in the 10th.

Unless I am mistaken, St Pat didn't just beat Deming, they beat them pretty bad. SO, how can you say that Deming will only lose if they beat themselves? I think they need to play pretty darn hard to beat St Pat dont you think? I think St Pat is the team to beat in the ALL A!! They have proved that! And I am not even close to a St Pat fan!!

Who gets out of the bottom bracket? Those are 4 of the bottom 5 in the region. Silver Grove, Bracken and Nicholas are all about the same, with Calvary only slighltly better.

After witnessing a few games at Deming, they are 15 points better at home. Its a tossup between them and the Patties.

Playing the Devils on their homecourt in the Class A might be a little tougher to beat them at home.

I remeber last yeat St. Pat beat them pretty bad in Maysville and later Deming beat St.Pat in the very same tournament in Brooksville last year by 6(77-71 on Dec 30 2006). So it really is what team comes to play that'll determine the outcome of the the upcoming game with St.Pat. at the Class A tourment.

If im not mistaken, the last time I checked Deming lost to St.Pat AT St.Pat by a total of 6 or maybe 8 points. Im pretty sure 6 or 8 points isnt much.

This one should be wide open. Many of these teams played just a few days ago in the Brooksville tourney. While St. Pat may have the edge right now, they barely escaped BB.

St. Pat also nearly escaped Augusta when they played in the BCIT, the final score was 77-72, but it was close until the 4th quarter when C.Owen took over the game. Mofford had 30 in that game but, In the fourth he wasn't much of a factor. It should be interesting to see how this will stack up!
