Last season at a home game we had players from a district rival sit behind Shelby Co's bench and openly root for thr Rockets. They actually high fived the Shelby players leaving the floor after they won in OT.

I stayed for the first half of this one. I was impressed with the intensity of both teams.

Let them cheer for Gallatin's opponents. They all know the truth, and not believing it is true does not make it any less true. The truth is Gallatin County plays well together as a team and they are a very good team and formidable opponent for any school to play. Much more than can be said of the other small schools from the district we are in.

I was sitting a few bleachers above these players, and I never saw the players cheer for either team, although I absolutely saw the mom of a player cheer for Holmes. I actually heard her son tell her to be quiet a couple of times.

As for the "team" cheering against Gallatin, be careful what you wish for!

 

 

I admit I thought it would be Holmes "large". Gallatin, you sure got my respect. You're a good team with a lot of heart. I expect to see the Cats go very far this year.
