Mason & LexCath are very good basketball teams, but Mason has the best player in the state in Miller, and he will put Mason on his back tomorrow and carry them to a win.

Mason by 12

I think this game has potential to be closer then some people think. I know Lex Cath has that loss to Cov Cath on their resume which definately looks bad but this team over the past month has been pretty tough themself. Like I said in my first post, the Knights have to avoid let downs. I feel stongly that they can at least play with Mason Co. however in their two losses they blew leads late in the game and they have to avoid that let down. And yes, I get that both teams probably had to hit some good shots to get back in those games but the Knights can't allow teams to get those opportunities.

The Knight's are going to have to make sure that all four of their big scorers perform tomorrow to win but it isn't going to be simply a cake walk for Mason Co.

Just wanted to correct this. Mason only has 1 loss and it was to the current number 3 ranked team in the nation.l

With that said. Has Novesel (or however you spell it) signed with a college yet? and if so who is it?

One other thought, If Mason County isn't playing against 8 on the floor then they win. If not, then it might be a long night for the Royals. After Darius signed with UK someone on this board posted that he would be protected. If you've seen them play this year then you know that NOTHING could be further from the truth. If anything they allow this kid to get hammered.

To all refs out there. Don't allow this kid to get hurt. If you've seen UK play this year, then you know they desparately need his healthy help!!:scared:

LexCath (and I understand it is there tourney) has caked walked to the finals against some questionable competition. Gee LexCath, do you think next year you could set up the tourney so that you could just go play in the finals without having to play a single game? Can we be safe to assume that the draw wasn't done out of a hat....meaning a blind draw?

Mason County if the men in stripes call it fair, wins by 12....

1st of all I'm sorry that yor starting guard was injured during the game. I hope he recovers quickly to finish his Sr yr. You should win your region....

But I don't think with him you could have stopped D Miller inside on the block in the 2nd half. On a neutral court, I don't think you beat many top 20 teams (means that you win some:lol:).... Your devotion to CCHS is duly noted:p

Do agree that Mason on paper should be the favored by 12+.

Have a nice day;)

You either misread me or I made it confusing but I was referring to Catholic's two losses. I know Mason has only lost once and to who it was.

As for Novosel (honestly, im never sure I spell it right either) last I heard I think he was heading to Princeton most likely. As for the game, I also hope foul wise its pretty fair tomorrow though I only saw one game so far and being a biast Catholic fan tonight I didn't think it was as unfair as the Paintsville fans would have led you to believe. The Knights play a physical full court press and might get away with a touch foul here or there but overall I don't think they simply won the game based on refs handing them it.

As I said before, I personally think this can be a closer game then predicted by the majority so far. If forced to side I'd say Mason has a slight advantage currently but if Lex Cath is hitting their shots and staying out of foul trouble they are good enough to win this one also.

Wish I could be there tomorrow however I can't so I'll say in advance good luck to both the Mason Co. and Lex Cath teams as this is always a fun game to watch.

This will be a tough, physical game. I believe that Mason is about 10+ pts better than Lex Cath, but taking into account that Mason Co. will be playing its 10th game in a little over 2 weeks, Mason Co will be a little tired. They also are a little banged up and are playing Lex Cath on their home floor. With all that said, I think Mason Co. wins a nail biter, by 3 points.

I don't see Mason being able to contend with the LexCath inside game. Mason will win it if they can make their outside shots. LexCath needs to play to their strength, Novosel and Taylor on the inside plus Sanford slashing to the basket. Catholic has a better inside game and this combined with the outside shooting of Smart adds up to about a ten point win. The main stumbling block for LexCath as I see it is that this group has not won such an important game to date, hopefully this will be a prelude to bigger things.

Mason Co. hasn't faced an inside game like this ?

Wow, Lex.Cath is better then I thought.

If this game is called even I don't think that Mason can be touched, they're just too good. They're a level above all KY teams and they'll show it in this one wnning easy 74-59.

I said Mason would win by 12 and I will stand on that prediction. Mason is far better than LexCath but you are playing on the LexCath floor in the LexCath tourney so.....12 is about right. On a neutral floor maybe by +20... Will agree with you about CovCath not stopping Miller, but with Bondick in there they were doing a pretty good job on the other four....

Mason County will have more fans there I'm sure. If the officials are influenced by the crowd (I don't think they will be), the game will favor Mason. LexCath hasn't played well against their last two opponents. I hope I'm right in feeling they were going through the motions in preparation for tonights game.

WOW!!!! You are so misinformed. There is this little guy from Mt Vernon New York Kevin Jones who is 6-8 and lit Mason up for 30, but Mason did win

These two split two games last year, each winning at their own gym. LexCath lost in to two overtimes at Mason. LexCath is significantly improved with the addition of Vee Sanford. LexCath already has a signature win over then #9 Chicago Simeon in the Hoopsfest this year. Simeon had a 6-8 inside player who was a commit to Illinois. They were very quick and athletic. LexCath does have a couple losses but wins at CovCath are hard to come by. The loss to a Fl. team is difficult to explain.

Read back to what I replied.

I am not the mis-informed.

Thats OK, its a simply mistake. All is forgiven.

Back to the subject, I say Royals by 10 pts.

It's been their theme this year.
