December 30, 200718 yr Eli Manning sucks ay? I love seeing him play so well. He has so many critics (Giants fans and non Giants fans alike) and it is great when he plays well. I might not have been harsh enough ever to say that he sucks (god I hope there isn't an old thread that has me saying he sucks) but his inconsistencies has always been what gets me. I know he has dealt with a lot of seasons where his wide recieving corp has dealt with injuries but he makes some decisions that it doesn't matter who the reciever was, it wasn't a good idea. However, that said, he is an NFL caliber QB who is stuck with an unfair expectation of being his brother set upon him since he came into the league. My frustration as I have told my dad frequently isn't that the Giants took him, its that they gave up so many draft picks at the time just to get him and get rid of Phillip Rivers (who I wouldn't even begin to say would have been any better or worse then Manning). Still, im gonna hope for a solid performance from Manning tonight because as a Giant fan I always want us to do well.
December 30, 200718 yr Clutch drive by the Pats. That's why they're the best. Giants gotta answer here. The Pats are going to get their points, but the Giants have to keep putting good drives together.
December 30, 200718 yr All except for the loss of their starting center to a meaningless injury :sssh: He looked okay walking off of the field. Don't get me wrong, he's a great center for the Giants, but Grey Ruegamer (the backup) can get the job done. If they lose another lineman, or another key player I'll worry and start to think that the starters should be pulled.
December 30, 200718 yr All except for the loss of their starting center to a meaningless injury :sssh: It isn't what anybody wants at all, agreed. However, considering how horrible the Giants have been playing going into the playoffs (last week was a shock for me honestly) Im actually pretty thrilled that they came out tonight on a mission and seem to have bonded together well tonight. The hope is that this type of momentum, even if we lose, will carry to a big playoff run.
December 30, 200718 yr The Patriots are unbelievably tough to stop. No doubt, I might hate Brady but even I have to admit, the guy doesn't make mistakes often and isn't fazed by pressure which the Giants have brought all game.
December 30, 200718 yr No doubt, I might hate Brady but even I have to admit, the guy doesn't make mistakes often and isn't fazed by pressure which the Giants have brought all game. I have always hated the Patriots until this season when I had both Brady and Moss on my team. Of course, they were a nice pickup for me so I have been cheering for them all season. They are just a great team.
December 30, 200718 yr Ha, no doubt a great team, I just never liked Brady or Harrison. Strangely I liked Moss as a Viking but hadn't really cheered for him of late. However, I understand the fantasy fan attractiveness. My love of the Colts over the past few years spawned from having Manning QB my team and Wayne or Harrison be my wide reciever for a few years.
December 30, 200718 yr There's something you don't see every day. And just like that, he says, "nevermind..."
December 30, 200718 yr I'm sorry....but how can you NOT love a play like that? 65 yards? It's awesome, no matter who's doing the throwing/catching!
December 30, 200718 yr Sadly enough, they could run a play action on 50% of their plays and Moss would be open almost every time just like that.
December 30, 200718 yr Here's my question: Who gets the TD ball ? Moss or Brady ? 2 records broken in one play, right ?
December 30, 200718 yr Here's my question: Who gets the TD ball ? Moss or Brady ? 2 records broken in one play, right ? They are going to cut in half, oh, wait... I don't know:confused:
December 30, 200718 yr Tom's record is fully deserved, but Moss's deserves an asterisk. After all his 23 TD catches came in 16 games whereas Jerry Rice's came in 12. BTW, is Jacobs always this vocal? He seems to go after the refs quite a bit tonight.
