December 30, 200718 yr Final First win for the SEC, and a quality win for MSU. Good defensive game, some monster hits. SEC 1 The World 0
December 30, 200718 yr Another great football game. This was like the WF game earlier...dominated by DEFENSE and some big time "slobberknocker" hits :thumb:. I am so glad for S. Croom on his win. Croom was very emotional after the game when ask and reflecting on 25 years ago he stood on that field with Bear Bryant as an assistant on the Bear's staff in his last game as a coach. What a coaching job this season by Coach Croom.
December 30, 200718 yr Author Beating the CUSA #2 10-3 is quality? Could have fooled me... I think UCF is a pretty good team, ten wins is respectful, they are not LSU, but still a decent team, with a RB that was going for Berry sander's record, that alone says that they can put yards and points on a team. But, MSU only allowed 3 points. I think it's a pretty good win. Just my opinion.

For "The Best Conference In The History Of Man" this isn't impressive at all IMO...
December 30, 200718 yr Beating the CUSA #2 10-3 is quality? Could have fooled me...Didn't the Knights beat Tulsa in the CUSA Championship game? Kevin Smith didn't get Barry Sander's single season rushing record. Will he return for his senior season?

December 30, 200718 yr Yup. My bad. CUSA #1. Still not impressed... Still for one of the lower ranked SEC teams to beat a #1 in an opposing conference is still pretty good even if it was CUSA

December 30, 200718 yr I think a lower level SEC team holding C-USA's #1 to 3 points is impressive. Especially since UCF was averaging over 38 points per game.
December 30, 200718 yr Author 10 points is the fewest scored on UCF all year. They gave up 64 to USF, 52 to ECU and 35 to Texas. For "The Best Conference In The History Of Man" this isn't impressive at all IMO... Even though, UCF has only scored less then 25 points in one game all season, and that was in the lose to USF. They have scored: 25, 32, 56, 37, 38, 12, 44, 34, 47, 45, 49, 36, 44, and now 3. That is pretty impressive if you are the team that kept them to the 3. UCF has a 10-3 record in a valid football conference. They lost to Texas who was 10-3; USF who was 9-3; and East Carolina who ,honestly, was not that good. MSU who had a 4-4 conference record in the SEC and was 8-5 over all before the bowl game. It may not be a quality win, if you say so, but I think MSU did a pretty impressive job holding UCF to 3 points. What ever.
December 30, 200718 yr What I'm not impressed with is scoring 10 points on an average at best D... It isn't like MSU was an offensive juggernaut all season. Their season high was 38 points against Tulane, they only scored 31 against Gardner Webb. You are dismissing the win because of the poor offensive showing by MSU--why don't you be fair and give them credit for holding a team that was averaging over 38 points a game to 10 points? UCF scored 32 on Texas.
December 30, 200718 yr Author What I'm not impressed with is scoring 10 points on an average at best D... I can understand you not being impressed with posting the 10 points, but why not be impressed with MSU holding them 3 points. That, with the above scoring information, is very impressive.

UCF scored 32 on Texas. Texas gave up over 30 6 times this year. How many did UCF score on USF? I knew you guys would champion a superior defensive effort to quantify a 10-3 game over a CUSA team. I just got the jump...
