Final

Lexington Catholic Holiday Tournament. Royals with face Cov Cath for the 2nd time this season. That game is played at 6pm. Paintsville and Lexington Catholic will play in the other semi-final at 7:30pm.

Clark Stepp with 12

Clint Stepp 11

Cox 12

Miller with 14 and defended Clark the whole game.

I must say that the left side of the bracket seemed a little easier than the right side of the bracket. Good luck to all teams tomorrow night.

Congrats to the Royals! Continue to represent the 10 region well.

Congrats to the Royals--Good luck vs. CovCath tomorrow!!

Congrats to the Royals. Tomorrow's game should be exciting. Don't overlook the Colonels.

You Think:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Mason played pretty well but missed several FT's in the 4th Qtr. Must knock them down in big games. Miller played a great all round game (14 pts, 9 rebs, 9 asst) and tough defense on Clark Stepp. Re-match with the Colonels with no cheering section.

Great start by the Royals tonight. If they could play an entire game the way they played the first 14 minutes, I haven't (yet) seen the KY team that can stay with them. However, precious little substituting may have contributed to JBS hanging around. To their credit, they never stopped playing hard.

Darius did play defense against #12 the entire game. He disappeared a little on offense the second half; hung around the 3-point line most of the night. If I took the muggings that Darius got when taking the ball inside, I might hang around the arc myself. I will say that the officiating wasn't all that bad; the BG Conference refs tend to let a lot of the physical stuff go on.

I thought that Middleton and King played real well tonight, and there were times that Setty took his shot in perfect rhythm and you just knew it was going in.

On the JBS side of the ledger, #12 tries to do way too much; and was clearly frustrated with Darius's defense. #4 (the other Stepp) has a much purer shot. I also thought the big kid could have gotten a few more touches; after all, Setty who weighs about 86 pounds was guarding him most of the game. #42 (I think) - the refs won't call anything on those obvious flops. I was impressed with JBS's intensity; but Mason always seemed to have a little run when it looked like the game was getting a little close.

CovCath tomorrow, and I look for a better showing by the Colonels than a few weeks ago. It should be a very hard-fought game.

Good win for the Royals. I look for them to handle CovCath, an win that game by 15 or so.

Good win for the Royals. Keep showing everyone why you are rated #1 in the state.:thumb:
