I'm sure you will post if they lose. So there's 1. It was tough to find Ashland posters when they lost to Spencer Co.

I believe I posted 2 or 3 times when they lost that game to Bath Co. As shocked as I was, I still posted.

Actually, what tends to happen, the threads are much larger in the losses simply because the usual suspects from the 16th love to swarm the waters when they smell blood from RH. So the logic that the threads are more "infused" when they win is the polar opposite from the truth.

 

By the way, I forgot to congratulate the Royals on the victory, good luck tonight.

That is pretty surprising. IMO, this win is more shocking than the Bath County loss. I think this was a big win for the Rose Hill program.

I agree but I have seen him play a few times and he is going to have to get a lot better to be able to play at UK. Athletically he is way behind the level of an SEC caliber player in my opinion. I think Jackson has the potential to be the much better player of the two, but that is just my opinion. Several people share the same because I heard it from other people as well including some Rose Hill fans. Good luck the rest of the way but Elliott is way too good for anybody.

I don't think many people would argue those points. I will say that Jackson and Euton are totally different players and that makes it a tough comparison. IMO Jackson is a Rondo type athlete.

I know we're getting away from the topic, but why do you think this is? As an outsider to the 16th, I've only seen RH play once; in a scrimmage last year against Mason County's version of the Royals. In that particular game, Jackson played well; while Euton scored 3 points and sat the entire second half, so I really didn't get much of a look at him.

 

About the only time I see any 16th Region teams is when they play Mason County, in fact. The occasional game against Ashland, Fleming County, Rowan County, etc. Looking forward to seeing Elliott County come to The Fieldhouse in February.

Here's what I saw in the scrimmage last year. A very quick guard with good size who was by far the most athletic player on the RH squad. Limited outside shooting ability, but could get to the rim pretty easily. Kind of a hybrid between a PG and SG. Out-quicked the Mason County team, which doesn't happen a lot (Preston Knowles was one of the few who did last year).

 

I also thought he walked a thin line with respect to palming the ball a lot, but it was never called, so it was obviously ok with the referees.

 

I wish I could have gotten to the scrimmage this year, but had another commitment. Would have liked to see the development of Jackson and Euton.

FYI...While Euton is a sophomore, he will be 17 in March. Maybe a better comparison by birthday.

This is probably a true statement and I would probably state that there are a lot more people that dislike RH more than the people that like RH.

 

I am kinda in the middle of the road. I will always root for them when they are outside of the 16th Region though, because I root for all of the 16th Region teams. I know you guys that have children there see the positive things of the school, but most generally the rest of us dont. Keep in mind some of us have at one point though, as well as seen the negative things while there. RH is by no means pure and without fault by any means, but what school is??

 

My biggest complaint is that you guys have made this forum into a "poor ole me" forum for RH, when all honesty, one of your own took the first jab at a opposing school by bringing up the comparison of Oldham Co beating Spencer Co. Kinda hard to expect everyone else to respect you in those situations. These are just my opinions as an outsider and not from any of the schools in the battle here.

As for the red,,,,I can understand your disdain for RH if you expect them to be pure and without fault. I suppose that's what some think now because they are competitive in athletics vs. the time when they stunk and were the whipping boy and were without fault or blame. Most in the region liked the "turn the other cheek while our subs spank you awhile" approach.

As for the blue,,,,I see nowhere that any RH poster has made this a "poor ole me" forum. On the contrary, they have congratulated RH on the win.

IMO, your views of RH are hardly "in the middle".
