I don't see it. Hazard has to earn it. We won't know for a while. I think it's June Buchanan's to lose. They're the defending champs, and have all their players back.

Yeah but have you seen Hazard play yet. I've seen both teams play 4 times each, I'll take Hazard any day of the week. Because they are big, JBS is big but they don't play big like Hazard, Their big men are good.

3. KCC - Just playing teams to death, this team will knock some teams off

4. LCC - With Banks back this team will be a suprise

5. Buckhorn - I don't care if they are 1-7 look at there schedule. It will pay dividends come late feb early march.

6. Breathitt County - Still waiting on football players to get basketball legs. Will move up by late Jan.

7. Estill County - by far the favorite in the 56th and on a good night can shoot a team right out of the gym.

8. Lee County - There young, but explosive.

9. Cordia - A solid team. capable of playing with anyone.

10. Jackson City - Another team that can shoot themselves in or out of a game.

11. Wolfe Co. - Playing well early, but I predict them fading late

12. PCC - The worst team PCC has put on the court in years.

13. Powell County - Struggling early but should get better as the season progresses

14. Jenkins - Puckett makes this team capable of beating anyone 13-17

15. Owsley County - Lack of consistency still continues to make it hard for the Owls to win.

16. Leslie County - Things are real bad in Hyden.

17. Riverside - Lack of kids. Thanks to Piarist, Riverside will never go winless.

1. Is this the worst Perry County Central team in school history, not just "in years" as you stated? I know it's still a relatively new school, but they seem pretty weak compared to the past.

 

2. What's going on in Hyden? Bad team? Bad staff? No interest? While Leslie is never great, they usually are competitive.

This is the worst team in PCC history, but the school is just a little over 10 years old. They have a new coach in Allan Hatcher. Leslie Co. had a team full of seniors the last two seasons that really hurt the Eagles. Young team with a good staff. THey'll get it together.

Correct...but the big game could be in the semifinals instead of the finals, according to the draw. But regardless of when the game is played, it is the championship game.

That's a possibility, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. Either one of those two will still be a load for any other 14th team in the finals.

I haven't seen Hazard play this year. I saw JBS in their TV game vs. LexCath.

But, what makes you think that Hazard will beat a veteran team, defending region champs, this year, anymore than they did last year? Will the Whitaker kid make that much difference? And the game will be played on about as neutral a court as you can get (Powell County), far away from both school's area.

I still say June Buchanan is # 1 until someone proves they're not. Hazard may do just that in the All A in January. We'll see.

1. I believe that they could get better. Hatcher is keeping scores low which is what he likes to do so he could get the dores' rolling come late feb. But, it is the worst team to ever come out of PCCHS

 

2. Like stated previously, there young but have a nice staff. there two wins have already surpassed what I thought they would do.
