I corrected sunrise to sunset! Do you know if the Royals planned a trip to Pearl Harbor or to BlackDiamond?

 

The Mason Co players went snorkeling Monday since they didn't have a game and Wednesday they went to the Pearl Harbor memorial. That information came from the pre-game shows at each of the first two Royal games so far.

Max preps currently has Mason Co. ranked 16th. in the nation with a record of 5-0.

 

This must have came out just before the game with Mt. Vernon, NY.

 

Mason Co. is now 6-0. :ylsuper:

Hopefully that ranking will hold up with others to follow.

Mason County 73, Mount Vernon 69: I listened to this game and it reminded me a lot of some of the national games Mount Vernon played last season. Against Section 1 teams, it seems every player in a Knights uniform can score 20 points. But in these national events, they defer to two or three guys. Kevin Jones scored 36 points and Sherrod Wright had 20. That’s 56 of the 69 points. Only four players had points until the final minute when Jordan Lessane, Ketema Brooks and Jabari Hinds made baskets. Those three guys are the backcourt, and you can’t expect to win games when your backcourt isn’t a threat to score. At least last year the Knights had Michael Coburn. Tonight, it was the Kevin and Sherrod Show for most of the game and everyone else seemed passive. Not good. Mount Vernon won’t beat any ranked teams — and it might get blown out on Saturday by Rice — unless its backcourt takes more of an initiative. The big men can only do so much.
