We extended many invitations for Coach Hyder to come on the show this year. Never heard a word from him or Newport. Same thing with other programs too. Guess they don't want their kids to get attention.

Whats right about a 1 an 10 season.

 

Ludlow didn't go 1-10 this year. They went 3-8. Not something to be proud of, but better than 1-10.

You are probably right but if I'm the guy in charge at Newport and they do end up with an openning, Hensley would at least get a phone call to see if he would be interested. Classy guy that knows how to create enthusiasm with his players, the student body and throughout the community.

I am going to say that if Hyder is not returning that the powers to be at Newport will approach Mike Wolff to be the next head coach.

Wow calm down buddy, you dont need to get all fired up about it...Also what makes you so sure about that? I mean Coach Hensley is in a tough spot at Taylor, because the conference they play it makes it REALLY HARD to be successful. Plus he has some ties with Newport since he had coached there before as an assistant, and well he also did try to go there once after his second year at Ludlow. So I mean if he was willing to leave Ludlow where he has really successful to go to Newport, I bet he maybe atleast could be interested in going to Newport now from Taylor where the success has not come easy...

Newport has had their share of good football coaches. Sometimes the well runs dry and the best coaches take nothing and make it into something. When Newport has talent, watch out, it can get a little ugly.

Newport has a lot of young talent an I think an hope that coach Hider will do better job as time goes by.

It would probably have been a pay cut for Hensley to leave Taylor to go to Newport.
