Dick Vitale is Out of Action

Featured Replies

I don't care about what others think, I like Dicky V. He brings an honest enthusiasm for college basketball.

I agree. Get well soon Dicky V!

Maybe they can get whatever it is that makes him Duke crazy out while they're in there????

I am not a big fan of his at all - but he has done a lot of good, charitable work. He seems like a geniune good person - even if he is insanely ACC-biased. I think everyone wishes him the very best in his health.

A great guy who is too much for me to handle.

I'll be looking forward to watching games on ESPN without him; however, I do wish him well. He has brought a lot of positives to college basketball and continues to do so.

I wish the best, and hope he has a speedy recovery!

As a Duke fan, he will be missed:lol:

To all of you rude people who ridiculed him in this thread....zip it....this is not the time or place.

I don't think that stating that as a broadcaster we don't care for Vitale is ridiculing him. While I'm not a fan of his broadcasting, I think it's obvious to all that he is a very good person. Here's wishing for a full recovery for Vitale.

Sounds like one has a man crush on another.

yeah, that's it.... The man has been a tremendous ambassador for the sport of college basketball, he had a medical procedure done, and people still ridiculed him....zero class....and it is not the place to be in this thread.

He is one of the most popular voices in sports history, if you like him or not. Me personally, I think he brings enthusiasm that NO OTHER broadcaster brings. I hope he gets his voice back and is back at the mic soon. Get well soon Dicky V.
