Seidel is very physical and plays with a high level of intensity. This will make him a great player in th 13th region.

That's the kicker -- you wouldn't think he'd be able to venture into the lane at all, as skinny as he is. Tough kid.

Seidel is a good all around basketball player. I thought the difference in the game was that Luke Dalton outplayed St. John. Both teams played extremely hard but not real well. This was a great high school basketball atmosphere.

 

The only bad part of the game were the officials were absolutly atrocious. For a big rivalry game like this you would think the assigning secretary could send three more competent officials. Both head coaches received a technical foul. I think if I was either coach I probably would have gotten thrown out of the game before half time.

Several players from both teams fouled out. Very physical.

I guess South's win streak had to end sometime, I bet the atmosphere at this game was unreal, I'm sure it was a tough one to officate, which IMO looks like a hard job to have on most any night. Congrats to North Laurel.

Good game for North congrats to them. In my opinion this loss is what South needed to get them focused for next weeks game against Corbin, because after all that game really means something as far as districts are concerned. Also I agree with you rojas4 the officials were not the best in the 13th for sure.

Good win for Coach Conway and the Jags. I heard Coach Wright got a T late in the game while his team still had a chance to win? Very unusual for Coach Wright to lose his cool under adverse conditions. Something must have really upset him in order for that to occur.

He was upset at the very tip off of the ballgame, and whined the entire 32 minutes. I think he actually got tossed, but never left the game. The official pointed at him, and told him to go.

 

I agree with Rojas, Luke Dalton played his tail off, and clearly outplayed SL's St. John. SL's got some nice talent, and they're young, good thing the Jags got them this time.

I don't think Corbin is any better than they were last year, but holding their own without their best player says a lot about the program.

Is there a changing of the guard in the 13th? I keep hearing a lot of good things about Corbin, for example, but I really didn't expect North to handle South.

IF South plays the way they did last night AND IF Corbin has a healthy Crawford Corbin wins by 20 points. Without Crawford, Corbin wins anyway.
