What about Coverdale at T no one said it was presently a head coach might be someone that has been a head coach and has good friends in Ohio JMHO.

A little bird told me today that a young head coach that was still alive in the playoffs from NKY is on the short list of candidates.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Going from class A in Kentucky to GCL would be like Gerry Faust going from Moeller to Notre Dame. They would eat him alive!

I'm sure Coach Rash may be able to make that tranisition, he is a very talented young coach who has a very bright future.

 

The issue isn't whether he might succeed, it's who is going to take the responsibility if he doesn't? You can rationalize a hire gone bad if you hire a head coach from programs that are at least comparable in size and stature; but not if hiring a young coach (even w/ ties to the program) from KY.

 

With risk does come rewards though, and I think Noel could deal w/ the coaching aspect of Moeller, but that job is also one w/ political implications. You need to spend as much time coaching as you do helping the school raise money, recruit atheltes/students and other functions.

I would think so. If it's a short list I would think he would be towards the bottom.

See, you are coming around. I agree with you and Highlands has proved it. The schools from Kentucky cannot compete with the big boys in Ohio. Highlands stumbles to them almost every year when they cross the river. What is their record, 1-5?

 

Btw, I played in the little class A league in NKY and currently live in....here is a shocker....FT. MITCHELL. I am NOT saying anything bad about MR. Rash. I respect the man 100%. I just think the GCL is the real deal and a big step up and Moeller will have many top notch coaches apply. Again, I am NOT saying coach Rash is not top notch. This is just my opinion...and like u said...everyone has one.

To say that Rash cant coach at Mo is not a smart statement because coaches have to organizers, motivators and decision makers. I believe that Rash can do this. Kentucky schools not competing with the likes of GCL teams has nothing to do with his ability to coach. Previous comments about him not being able to coach in the GCL is more about the talent level than coaching.

Moeller has not been the old Moe of the past for several yrs. Yes, it would be a very highly intense job w/numerous responsibilities, none of which Coach Rash couldn't handle. Believe this, there is a ton of pressure on the Beechwood Head Coach every yr. They are expected to get to Louis yr in and yr out. If they don't it is not a good season even w/a record of 13-1. Yes, BHS is one of those little Class A schools but that doesn't mean there isn't any pressure or added responsibilities for the head man. Obviously, you have never been there or around to realize this.

I was being very scarcastic w/my comments. I get tired of hearing about Cinti teams as most NKY faithful do. Maybe you should move back to the other little class A city you originated from. Doesn't sound like you fit in very well in Ft Mitchell.
