Are You Scared?

Only 2 nuclear/Atomic bombs have EVER been deployed. Who was it again that deployed them? Wasn't it on cities with men, women and children?

I dont think we're the one's that need to worry.

Do you believe that we are the most likely to resort to nuclear weapons?

I feel confident of where I am going once I live this physical life. So, no it doesn't.

I think thats the only answer really to this situation. The world is going to end on Gods terms, why sit and worry about it.

Not at all.....I am 100% confident in the safety of my current environment.

I would be very scared for my long term safety if I lived in DC, New York City, Los Angeles, or San Francisco. I am pretty sure that a nuke will be detonated in one of our coastal cities during my lifetime by a terrorist organization. The action that follows such an event will determine how safe the rest of us are.

As for the planet's survival, I would be less worried if this country and other developed nations were pursuing colonization of the galaxy at a little faster clip. Long term, if the human race does not move off of this rock, it will be toast. Having a few thousand people living off world would be a good start on ensuring the survival of our species - and the technology for making that a reality could be mere decades away if we get to work.

This is a scary subject, of course the fact that terrorists have nukes scares me. I don't see there being thousands of people living in space within the next hundred years but I think it will eventually resort to that.

Climate change scares me the most. A nuke (1 nuke) going off in a city is a huge tragedy but greenland's ice cap melting and cutting off the gulf stream scares me more.

I take it you just watched "The Day After Tomorrow"?

That was on last night but that's not why i brought it up. I think that while the movie was of course a huge exaggeration, there is evidence to show that global warming could mess up the currents in the ocean, thus causing a mini-ice age. The US is totally vulnerable to some sort of climate disaster, whether it's a major volcanic eruption or global climate change, our breadbasket is right in the bullseye.

I can honestly say I've never lost any sleep worrying about any of this stuff.

In my opinion, because this country is going away from God is the reason we will be laid barren.

100% of all that have been launch have been from us. Dont you think with our rhetoric that people would fear how we would retaliate.

-invaded Afghanistan

-invaded Iraq

-forced Saddam to be overthrown & executed

-South Korea & Il

-Iran & talk of a 3rd World War.

-How did WWII end???

If someone did shoot or attempt to shoot a nuke, I would be afraid to see what trigger happy Bush would attempt to do. wouldnt you?

No. I would be more afraid of others trying to talk people to death while allowing them to do whatever.

Bush was physically wrong on Iraq. But he got it 100% correct with what Saddam wanted people to believe. Saddam was defiant of diplomacy and UN sanctions for what 10 years. How long does a person get to thumb his nose at the rest of the world and pull down his pants and moon the guidelines that he needs to live by?

Since he's not trigger happy I'm not afraid at all. I'm curious, what would YOUR response be to someone shooting or attempting to shoot a nuke?
