I thought the OSU logic was "beat who you should beat" and "win when you need to win".

I ask you, if they didn't earn it, who DESERVES it more?

 

I hate OSU but you have to give credit where credit is due. Its not like anyone was touting them as more deserving than ANY of the 1 loss teams (aside from Kansas).

 

Yes, they backed their way into the game. Just like Florida last year.........next.

 

You must've missed my post where I said none of them deserve it.

They didn't beat OU, if they had, then they would be in....I know it must be a hard concept. Forgive me if I think that you should beat a good team to play in the title game.

^ Mainly because of the fans that we see or hear that say they are awesome, and better than last year, etc...

I mean OSU didnt even have to play in a championship game thats how soft it is for them to get in.

 

Sorry that the Big 10 doesn't chase the almighty dollar and have a conference championship game. You know and I know that's the ONLY reason the SEC has a conf. championship. Just like its the ONLY reason we don't have a playoff. Money talks, everything else :walk:

Most of the other teams you allude to play a schedule that is reasonably challenging. OSU played a garbage schedule and still couldn't go undefeated.

It is. The systems is flawed. I don't think anyone can argue that. Ohio State was 7th in the BCS standings because of their won-lost record two weeks ago, but have moved up because the teams in front of them have lost. Hawaii has never been high enough in the BCS standing to be considered for the BCS championship. Is Ohio State one of the two best teams in the country? Probably not, but the current system says they deserve to play for the championship. It's not that hard to figure out.

It's kind of like lining up two runners and forcing one to do hurdles while the other gets a straight sprint. Conference championship games have nothing to do with it, IMO. OSU has no obstacles anywhere.

So Hawaii should be in as well, right?

 

If the big dogs who have the final say determine they should play then absolutely. Whatever team they vote to play in the NC deserves the opportunity. As I said earlier, the system is what it is.
